Do I need to tap my PRESTO card twice?
When you tap on, the system deducts the default trip fare, so you don’t have to tap a second time when you get off at your default destination. This means even more time saved with PRESTO.
How do I use my PRESTO card on the bus?
As you board the bus, tap your card ON to the PRESTO Fare Payment Device inside the bus near the driver. The machine will validate your card, record the starting point of your trip and deduct the fare to the next zone on the route. Once you’ve arrived, tap your card OFF to the Fare Payment Device as you exit the bus.

Can I use PRESTO on TTC and MiWay?
But remember — PRESTO tickets can only be used to pay your fare on the TTC. They are not accepted on any of the other transit agencies that use PRESTO, which means they can’t be used to pay the MiWay/YRT fare on any of the TTC’s cross-boundary bus routes.
Do PRESTO funds expire?
The date on the back of the card is the date the card was manufactured. Some older cards have an expiry date, but PRESTO cards no longer expire. You may continue to use your card even after the indicated expiry date and your balance will remain on the card.
